With the current state of our planet, questions arise of sustainable life and travel to another planet if things do not change. This piece is meant to question our role in animal preservation.

Will animals be preserved for ark like space travel? The missing chest piece revealing the automatism painting below is meant to represent organic matter or DNA in this scenario. Would we grow animals on a new planet or take them in their entirety?

The space suit edges/ventilation are meant to resemble plastic rings found on most bottles and an aluminum can. I also felt it appropriate to use a red cellophane bag as the helmet in this piece for a little more subliminal on our excessive waste. The tubing is not connected to the helmet and eventually fades into a Ying Yang like funnel into the suit. This is meant to be a representation of our role in ensuring the lives of these animals. Can we be the balance to connect and provide the support needed to ensure species?
